5 Year Anniversary Party: Carnival

As Scentsy is celebrating their 5 year anniversary, they wanted everyone to celebrate with them. This was such a fun and incredible event!! It was a huge carnival! Free food, free entertainment, games, music, dancing, candy, fun... The kids had a blast! I couldn't have done it alone so I was grateful Aunt Jodi came with me! Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Tall helped too! Kristian played a lot of games and won lots of prizes...

Little Addison was that "Dancing Queen".. We couldn't get her off the dance floor! She was so cute!! Here she is with one of the dancers!

Kristian however, just stood there.. a dancer girl came up and tried dancing with him and he just gave his classic blank Kristian stare! He did have fun, but dancing is definitely not his thing!

Thank you Scentsy for letting us help you celebrate your 5 year Anniversary! What an exciting company to be a part of! I feel blessed and lucky to be a part of what is being called the fasted growing party-plan company in history!!! Wow!!

Cute Things My Kids Say

In celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday I was sitting with the kids and reading several of his books. We were reading "Fox in Sox" and as you know this has a lot of tongue twisting phrases. I was trying to go slow enough that the kids could maybe understand what was being said and Addison looks up and asks, "Is this Spanish?". ... so funny. I couldn't help but laugh out loud, give her a hug and say, "It might as well be."

Sitting at dinner the other night and as always having a difficult time getting Addison to focus and eat her dinner. Kristian so confidently leans over to me and says, "I know its none of my business, but tell Addi if she doesn't eat her dinner then she doesn't get to have a treat." ... thanks Buddy.

"Mom, I know you're probably not going to like this, but..." is the start of so many of Addi's questions these days... "I know you're probably not going to like this, but.. (big sigh), can I have a treat?"

At 6:30 in the morning, Kristian was already awake, and Addi was just coming into our bedroom. The first thing Kristian says to her is... "Addi, don't call me Kristian today, just call me 'ROCK STAR!"... too funny!

Driving down the road and Kristian says.. "Mom! I just saw the most beautiful thing!!" Anxious to know what he thought was SO beautiful, I asked, "What did you see Kristian?" His passionate and serious response... "A bunch of trucks!!"

Kristian says to Jon the other day: Grandpa Tall is bigger than you. I better hurry and grow so big like him.

We were headed to Preschool and Kristian found a balloon that had been in the car overnight so it was pretty deflated. He wanted to put it out his window so it could go up to the sky. I told him the balloon was broken and couldn't float to the sky...and sweet little Kristian says: "But Christy wants to see my balloon!!"... SO sweet!! I told him we'd have to go get another balloon that we could send up to Christy!..

Jon was working and the kids and I had been running errands when we decided to have a special dinner out: orange chicken and noodles from Panda Express... Kristian says to me "Mommy, I love noodles... I am so happy Mommy!!" .. its wonderful, isn't it? When simply having noodles can make you so genuinely happy??

Little Addison is learning new words everyday, besides picking up on the "What?" her brother keeps saying lately, she has decided that she will call her mommy " Mi-Mi"...so cute! But her first and favorite word to say by far is "Daddy". Love that little lady bug!

Kristian always seems to be grabbing himself, even if he doesn't have to go potty. So the other day I asked him if he needed to go, he said "No", so I asked him "When was the last time you went potty"... His answer was so matter of fact: "On Monday!!"... "Ok... Today is Sunday so we'd better go!"

We spent the the week at my Aunt Kami's Cabin, its been a year since we've been there, and when we walked in Kristian said in a voice of amazement: "I can't believe I remember this place!". I thought that was so cute!

A week or so Kristian was trying to go down for a nap and he said, "Wait Mom, I've got a scratchy"... "A scratchy?" ..."Yep, I've got to scratch it off!". Such a silly boy. Scratchy=Itch
