A Weekend Away

We had the rare, but wonderful opportunity to spend a weekend away KID FREE!!!! Oh my goodness!
We dropped the kids off to Mark and Cindy Wednesday night and early Thursday morning we and some friends headed down to St. George for a weekend away. It was much needed and we had a great time!! We were able to go out to dinner, do some shopping, and even though the weather was not so great it made for a nice day to hike in Zions! We were able to do a couple of hikes in the beautiful canyon before mother nature decided to send her rain.

We also spent one of our days in Las Vegas. I'm not usually a big fan of Vegas because its so crowded and its just DIRTY! I always feel so dirty when we leave Vegas...but this trip was short and Jon and I had planned to go to our very first Vegas show! We went and saw La Reve at the Wynn Hotel. What an amazing show! It was all done in water. So the stage was a big circular pool and no matter where you sat, your seats were still very good. The performers were amazing and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was! I would definitely see another show next time we're in Vegas!
As much as you say you'd like a weekend away...truth be told its not that easy! I missed my kids SO MUCH! I was glad to get home to see how much they had grown and changed while we were gone.
