Happy Mother's Day

So I get a text message from Jon while I'm at work asking me if I would be ok if he combined my Mother's Day present and my Birthday present. Of course I didn't mind, and of course this only increase my curiosity as to what he could possibly be getting me....

Cindy had treated me to a pedicure for Mother's Day, which was wonderful! I was long overdue and enjoyed every minute! Its nice to just sit for 45 minutes and be pampered. Thanks Cindy!!

By the time I got home I had to go to the bathroom SOOOO bad (on account of me increasing my water intake so much) so I ran past Jon and ran up to use the bathroom and when I opened the door to my bedroom... this is what I found:

The kids had colored these beautiful pictures for me...

And displayed them on my new Double Jogging Stroller!!! I was SO excited!! I have wanted a double jogging stroller for SO long and with my efforts to improve my health, Jon couldn't have picked a better gift.

Jon, Kristian, and Addison. I love you all so much! You mean the world to me and I am so glad that we get to be a family forever! I love my family so much! Thanks for making this Mother's Day such a memorable one!!

We did decide, since Jon was working all weekend, to pick up Aunt Jodi and go to visit Grandma Jan for Mother's Day. We had a great time!! Hope all of you moms out there know how much you are loved and appreciated. Sometimes as Moms we forget how much we are loved, since we're constantly buried in laundry, dishes, cleaning, bath time, homework, and well, you get the point. Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mother's out there!! Remember how much your are loved and just how important your role is in this world!!

T-BALL!!

We had Kristians first T-Ball game on Saturday, May 8th! The previous 2 practices didn't go so well because Kristian was nervous and unsure of things and therefore didn't participate in the practices. I was nervous to see if he'd join the kids and actually play in the game...

We got to the park early to watch some of the other kids play. I really think this helped warm him up to the idea and get him excited to play.

Here are the "TIGERS" waiting for their turn to bat...

Here is Kristian hitting the ball for the first time in his T-Ball career. I'm excited to see that he can bat both left and right handed. This is a skill I think we'll have to nurture if he chooses to continue to play baseball as he gets older. He has shown no favoritism to right or left so far when it comes to sports, so maybe we can teach him to use both sides equally. It would be a great advantage for him.

Here is Kristian as he runs into 3rd base! It was so much fun to see the chaos of the little kids who were trying so hard, but didn't really know what in the world they were doing.

Here he is with his after-game treats. He was so excited and had such a fun time!! I am so proud of him for being so brave and trying something new.

The cutest little T-Ball Player on the team!!

Movie Date

We caught a bad computer virus and tried everything we could to get it fixed...next option...get a new computer! We were able to get a refurbished one for a great price! So now I can update, and keep updating my blog on a regular basis.

About 2 weeks ago we decided to go the the movies as a family. Kristian, Addison, and Jon had already gone to see this movie when it first came out with Grandma Cindy and Aunt Sarah. Kristian decided that Mommy should see it too...

So we went to "HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON" in 3D!!

Kristian did great to keep his 3D glasses on throughout the movie...Addie? Not so much. She pretty much just ate all the popcorn and treats. But they both did well and we had a fun Movie Date.

The kids, well Kristian, is very excited that there is another Iron Man aka Tony Robot coming out. He LOVES the robots, the action, the bad guys... such a boy!!
