Idaho Fun

Over President's Day Weekend Aunt Jodi and I made a trip to Meridian Idaho!! It was a great weekend full of a lot of fun!
(Morgan, Kara, Brae, Aubree, Addison, Hallie, Kristian)

The girls loved on Morgan so much!! She was never lacking attention and were great to help hold her, feed her, and entertain her.

We had a birthday party while we were there. Everyone drew names for each other, we all went to All-A-Dollar and bought gifts, we made and decorated cupcakes, and celebrated "EVERYONE's BIRTHDAY". We then went to Open Gym at the local gymnastics/dance place... the kids (including Aunt Jodi) had a lot of fun!

And because I didn't think to take my own camera I stole these pictures off of my sister Heather's blog. (thanks sis) Thanks for letting us come spend the weekend. We had a great time and can't wait until we get to see you all again.

It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time

Just for fun I thought I'd share this dance video of Kristian... So funny!

St. George Half

Well, he did it again. Jon ran the St. George Half Marathon (13.1 miles). We took advantage and made a family trip to St. George. We were able to go see Grandma and Grandpa at the condo, Jill and Bryan and cousin Danielle were there as well.

We stayed in a hotel and the kids thought that was so fun!! We let the kids go swimming. I took the kids down to the pool because Jon had some Union phone calls to make. I assured him we'd be fine. About 1/2 way through Morgan and I decide to get out and watch from the side. I'm watching as Addison tip toes toward the deep end, and I shout out to her to turn around and go back to the shallow end. I watch as she tries to correct her self, getting more nervous, and then water splashes into her face, and then more, and then she panics and I realize she won't be able to pull herself out of this so I jump in the water with Morgan wrapped in a towel in my arms and pull Addison out of the water. This happens JUST as Jon is walking in the room to see his daughter going under water. A quick, panicky moment and surprisingly enough no body cried and Addison got right back in and kept swimming! Whew!

The ONE DAY it decides to be raining in St. George is the day of the race. Here we are sitting in the cold waiting for Dad to cross the finish line...

Here is Dad.. coming in at 1:49:19. Whew! I applaud you!! What an inspiration you are and I'm so proud of you for going after and achieving your goals. WE ARE PROUD OF YOU DAD!! KEEP IT UP!!!

( I love how perfectly Kristian's little face found his way into this picture)

It was a short trip. We went down Friday morning and came back Saturday afternoon. These were our road conditions on our trip home and as you could see the kids definitely traveled well. Especially our little Morgan, what a trooper!!

Merry Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011!!! Jon had to work Christmas at the fire station this year, so we got up early to see if Santa had in fact found our house... surprisingly enough, he did!
The kids got new coats, coloring books, clothes, and toys...

Thanks to Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Tall, the kids got this fun game table! Kristian also go a Nintendo DS, some clothes, and some more legos. He sure does love to get creative and build new things.

Addison got more food for her kitchen, more dishes, a hello kitty game, a princess game, and so much more.. she couldn't have been more thrilled.

Here is the cool baseball stand that Grandpa Brad made for Kristian. It has a place to hang his "Special Made Baseball Bat", a baseball, and his hat. What a wonderful gift!! Thank you Grandpa!

A new nativity scene and a great story to go with it...

Christmas is such a wonderful time! I am finding more and more how important it is to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. My hope is in the years to come to start create more of our own family traditions as the kids grow.

Kristian's Big 6!

Can't believe! I simply can't believe it! I have a 6 year old boy who's in Kindergarten!! I LOVE Kristian. He is such a sweetheart. He is a great big brother, a great help to mom, and is so smart.
Kristian loves school, he is learning a lot and it is so fun to watch his creativity, personality, and imagination come to life! He loves being a big brother and LOVES his sisters.
He is excellent with electronics. He can play the Nintendo DS, navigate the X-BOX Kinect all by himself, play the iPOD, iPAD, and if he gets his hand on the remote control we're in trouble.
Kristian LOVES sports!! He always wants to know what the score is and when the next big game is going to be on. He is so good to learn the sports, rules, and who's play who and what game is next and... its exhausting.
Kristian loves to draw (its fun seeing his imagination and creativity come through). He loves transformers, lego's and his current favorite color is Scarlet (a red-orange color... he had to check his crayon box to be sure that was his favorite).
His favorite dessert right now is when we bake acorn squash with butter and brown sugar.

Kristian is a sweetheart. He always tries to do the right thing and make good choices. He is so tender and loving and cares so much. I LOVE this little boy with all my heart and am so blessed to have him as my big 6 year old!

Happy Birthday Jon

The big 31... Happy Birthday JON!! Ooops~ looks like we forgot the "3" on his cake... Oh well.. Birthday's are so much fun as you get older aren't they?
