Christmas Eve

We ventured out to Wyoming this year to spend Christmas with Grandma Jan and Grandpa Brad and all the family.. It was great to be able to do Christmas here this year.
Christmas Eve was fun. Scott and Angie and Brandon and Tiff and Harley had brought out their little puppies and the kids (Kristian and Addie) had so much fun playing with them. It was so cute! We also stayed up and played some games and had a fun time.

Aunt Jodi had presents for Addie and Kristian to open on Christmas eve:

Addie got Dora the Explorer PJs...

Kristian got "Tony Robot" PJs... or Iron Man PJs... He loves "Tony Robot"!! Thanks Aunt Jodi!!

The biggest surprise of all...guess who showed up at our house on Christmas Eve.. a total surprise to see SANTA at the door! Not many kids get to see Santa on Christmas Eve, but he was just passing through and had to admire Grandpa Brad's big red "U" in his front yard. You see, not many people know that Santa wears Red to support the University of Utah Utes... Grandpa Brad may beg the differ. Thanks for stopping in Santa!! Thanks for the great gifts!

Christmas Day!

It's Christmas Day! When all the fun and excitement finally arrives. Here we go!!

Here Addie is playing with one of the two new phones she got. She also enjoyed her new purse from Aunt Jodi, her pretty necklaces and bracelets and all her fun new clothes and toys. Addie had a fun Christmas!

Jon is so so happy to have received a much needed, and much asked for "Fireman's Tool" ... only firemen can truly appreciate its beauty... but it made for a very Happy Christmas. Also, notice the nice new Michigan hat from Aunt Jodi. Thank you to everyone for a very Merry Christmas!

Then we got to venture home from Wyoming..Christmas Day.. and make our way through the various degrees of yucky snowy roads...so we could celebrate our second Christmas with the Middleton Family! Roads were bad from Evanston to Park City, then fine until we hit the west side, closer to West Jordan, then it was a "Winter Wonderland"... I stepped out into a snowdrift, as I tried to carry my kids to the house, that went almost to my knees. What a crazy snow storm!!

Kristian and Addison got a fun new Sesame Street Kitchen for Christmas. They also got new "dig digs" one for each so they each have a "truck" of their own to play with.

Santa

Grandpa Tall (Mark Middleton) had a work party/open house since they recently moved offices to the new IMC building. Marks works for GE, but is working on a huge project with IHC. Anyway, we went to see Santa! (figured it was better then venturing to the mall!!) Kristian couldn't stop talking about Santa all day and was so excited, but as you could guess when we actually get there he wasn't quite sure about actually sitting on Santa's lap. So Kristian sat on Grandpa Tall's knee and Addie was brave and sat on Santa's knee. At least for a picture. It was so much fun to see the kids reaction to Santa. What a fun thing...thanks Grandpa Tall.

Here Kristian is enjoying Hot Cocoa and Cookies while watching "The Polar Express"

Here he is with his cute "Reindeer Ears"... from Santa. What a fun day!

Look Who's 3!!

The holidays are a busy time and I'm so sorry I've let this month go and not blog. I have so much to enter in to get us caught up.. so here we go!

Our little boy turned 3!! December 11th! What a fun day! He had such a great time and we want to thank all the family that came out to support him on his special day. He was super excited to get his new bike! He knows wearing his helmet is the only way he gets to ride. Now we just need the snow to go away so we can take it outside!

Firetrucks are always a hit! Kristian loves everything to do with "daddy's work" so thank you Aunt Jodi for the fabulous Fire Engine!! You did well!

Thanksgiving!

We were blessed this year to be able to journey to Wyoming and have Thanksgiving with my family. This year we did a combined dinner with several, but not all we able to attend, dinner with members of my Grandmas side of the family. This included cousins I haven't seen in many many years! All of my siblings were their with their families and that was so much fun. The kids had a blast playing with each other and I'm grateful for that opportunity. We stayed one night at my Moms and that was enough as my kids didn't sleep well, so neither did Mom or Dad.
The day of Thanksgiving was busy... the kids played well, but come dinner time Kristian threw the biggest fit of his his young life. He didn't want to stop playing and come sit down to eat. We took him to the car to get him calmed down, but the only thing that worked is the loving care of Aunt Jodi (thanks Aunt Jodi!!!) Love you! Finally calmed, he ate dinner then eagerly started back into playing with the other kids. After dinner we too joined in to see what the kids were doing. Little Addie was being adored by her slightly older girl cousins, when one of them went to give her a hug and they both toppled over. Yep.. our little Addison fell on her face and cut her upper lip open. Blood, tears, ... so much fun! Once we got her a little cleaned up and calmed down, we were able to give her some Tylenol then quickly decided that we'd had enough fun. We packed up the kids and headed home.

Because I brought my camera with me I inevitably forgot to get the darn thing out and actually use it. Therefore the only pictures I have are the two above,... of the kids in the car on our way to Grandma Jan's and Grandpa Brads house..

And these... this is once we finally got home. Our little Addison's fat lip from her oh so traumatic fall. At least she was smiling which meant she felt ok. Nothing life threating... just one of those things that happen.
